In our last two blog posts we outlined the benefits behind specifying locally manufactured products and showcased a few local flooring and tile manufacturers. In upcoming entries in this series we’ll be highlighting more local manufacturers. This post takes a look at a selection of local furniture manufacturers.

Heartwood Manufacturing Ltd. is an office and institutional furniture manufacturer who has been operating in Kelowna, BC for over 25 years. They offer a wide variety of products that are highly customizable. Their newest edition, WorkScape, is a clean, modern line of commercial office furniture. This line will officially launch July 1st, 2012. Below is a sneak peak at what the line will look like, we like the movement towards contemporary design.

Brent Comber Originals, located in North Vancouver, designs and produces beautiful, unique and sustainable wood furniture and art. The wood used for their creations comes from already fallen or harvested wood, or from areas under development where tree removal is necessary.
