Are you planning a relocation to support your growing business? The team at Hatch can ensure that your new space meets your increasing needs and considers the future growth of your company while striving to increase your team’s efficiency through thoughtful design

Okanagan Eye MD is the professional home to four specialized Ophthalmologists who had outgrown their previous space. With the addition of a doctor to an already busy practice the highly talented group moved into a new space in the Sopa Square development, taking 3150 sq.ft. with an entrance directly off of the main floor courtyard. Their specific requests, on top of developing highly functional exam rooms (a specialty of ours!), were to create a roomy and comfortable common space that would allow patients to be seated and waiting throughout the space with a New York loft vibe.

Carefully selected finishes paired with raw concrete, exposed ceilings and black framed glass set the tone for this clean and industrial-feeling space. The palette of warm wood tones, white painted brick, bright wall finishes and black accents were the perfect touches to pulling off the desired atmosphere.

Once patients are greeted at the bright and welcoming reception they are easily directed to diagnostics located directly adjacent or two one of the multiple internal waiting areas throughout the clinic. Wide corridors and a straight forward layout provide the framework for ease of circulation throughout the space, an aspect that is essential in supporting the high volume of patients visiting each day, some of whom are visiting due to vision issues. The Hatch team worked with the doctors in detail to design the exam room millwork so that it accommodated the innovative equipment they use, allowed for storage of a variety of items and increased efficiency in the examination procedures.
